An undercover operation in League City led to two arrests after investigators delivered a package containing more than 15 kilos of prescription pills.
Authorities say 30-year-old Syed Ahmed picked up the package at the Shell gas station on FM 518 before investigators pulled him over. During questioning, Ahmed told detectives there were more drugs at an apartment on Bay Area Blvd in Houston.
Detectives later searched the apartment and found large amounts of prescription narcotics, including pain pills, sleeping medication, and other controlled substances.
Here is what investigators seized:
• 59 kilos of Carisoprodol
• 34.9 kilos of Tapentadol
• 4.5 kilos of Zolpidem
• 7.4 kilos of Modafinil
• 3.6 kilos of Pregabalin
• 11.6 kilos of Sildenafil
Mohammed and Syed Ahmed were arrested and charged with felony drug delivery charges involving more than 400 grams of a controlled substance.
The investigation is ongoing, and more charges could be filed.
