HPD is investigating a possible homicide at 4618 Chrystell Street near Watonga Boulevard and TC Jester.
According to police, HFD was initially dispatched to the location for a death on arrival call. When firefighters arrived, they found a deceased man. There were suspicious circumstances and so they contacted HPD.
Officers responded and after viewing the scene, determined the case would be investigated as a homicide. Detectives with HPD Homicide Division are on the scene investigating. Crime Scene Investigators are also here.
At this time, investigators do not know the exact cause of death and are waiting for the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine that information.
From what investigators understand so far, family members had not been able to reach the man throughout the day. One of his sisters reportedly came to check on him and, with help from a neighbor, entered the residence and discovered his body.
Police said it appears the man may have been deceased since sometime today or possibly late yesterday.
