Bond has been set at NO BOND for 18-year-old Darius Dewayne Hall, who is charged with capital murder in the death of Marietta Allison from Austin, Texas.
Hall appeared Monday in Harris County’s 496th District Court before Judge Dan Simmons, who ordered that Hall be held without bond.
According to the Houston Police Department, Allison was shot during a robbery in the Heights this weekend. Police say Hall then took her vehicle and led officers on a chase before crashing and running into an apartment complex in the 3100 block of the Southwest Freeway.
SWAT was called after he barricaded himself inside an empty apartment. After several hours, he was taken into custody.
Allison had spent the evening helping a friend she considered a sister who was receiving chemotherapy at MD Anderson Cancer Center. After the late-night treatment, she drove her friend and her father to a friend’s home and was circling the block looking for a parking spot when the shooting happened.
