22-year-old Kameron Jaquwan Cooper has been arrested and charged with murder in the shooting death of John Agege, 34.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a shooting at a motel in the 13600 block of Rankin Circle West on September 29. Deputies found Agege suffering from a gunshot wound near Rankin Circle West and Rankin Rd. He was transported by private vehicle to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Investigators identified Cooper as the alleged shooter. With assistance from HCSO’s District 1 Crime Reduction Unit and the Texas DPS Violent Crimes team, Cooper was located, taken into custody and booked into the Harris County Jail.
