About the Role
Are you passionate about community-driven media and ready to take your career in sales and promotions to the next level?
We’re looking for a dynamic Promotions & Sales Manager with 2–4 years of experience in sponsorship sales and management. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of what Grizzy’s Hood News is all about — its voice, its community, and its culture.
This role is managed by BrandNation Advertising Agency, the official marketing arm of Grizzy’s Hood News.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Client Management
- Develop strategies to acquire new advertisers and sponsors.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Present and negotiate advertising packages and media kits.
- Track and report on sales metrics and campaign results.
- Promotions & Marketing
- Lead the planning of promotional campaigns and events.
- Collaborate with editorial, graphics, social media, and production teams.
- Assign and oversee creation of promotional materials.
- Help develop content strategies tied to sponsor visibility.
- Campaign & Admin Coordination
- Update the Hood News website with new content regularly.
- Organize and lead sales meetings, strategy sessions, and client onboarding.
- Maintain CRM and reporting tools to track campaign progress.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of sponsorship sales & customer service experience
- Familiarity with Grizzy’s Hood News and its cultural relevance
- Proven track record in sales, promotions, or client success roles
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to lead a promotions team and work flexible hours (some weekends)

Schedule: Monday – Friday 9a-6pm & Weekends as needed
