A disturbing incident was caught on a 17-second video showing a man violently abusing a dog. The individual had wrapped the dog’s leash tightly around his hand, yanking it repeatedly until the pup was left hanging in mid-air by its neck. It’s a hard video to watch—clear signs of animal cruelty.
A Hood News Peep was driving by and later noticed the pups sleeping near a bus stop on the side of the road. She quickly jumped into action, scooped them up, and reached out to another Hood News Peep, Callie. Callie made contact and now has the dogs are in her care.
The dogs are in Callie’s care at this moment and the pups will be placed on a cruelty hold through Barc and Callie is currently working with a rescue organization to make sure once the hold is lifted, they’re safe and properly cared for. The pups will be on a cruelty hold because there is an animal cruelty investigation. Yesterday many Peeps reached out to identify the man in the images and that information will be forwarded over to HPD. Come on down is underway!
Aside from the abuse captured on video, one of the dogs—the white one—has signs of burned paws from being walked on hot concrete. That’s why the man was seen carrying the white dog in the video. Thankfully, the black puppy that was hung by the neck doesn’t show any signs of burned paws.
