Update: HPD VCD is investigating a fatal crash in the 7800 block of Westview Drive that occurred around 4 PM on Monday, April 21.
According to HPD Vehicular Crimes Division, a gray BMW 530i was traveling eastbound when it struck another vehicle from behind, causing a chain reaction crash involving three additional vehicles.
The 79 year-old male driver of the BMW was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Investigators believe he may have suffered a medical episode prior to the crash.
No other serious injuries were reported. The investigation remains ongoing.
