ADDITIONAL CHARGES FILED AGAINST CODY LAVIOLETTE
Additional felony charges have been filed on 36 year-old Cody Allen Laviolette as authorities continue investigating the suspicious death of Kelly Taylor Mariah Little, a mother of three who died back on May 23, 2026.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office, multiple witnesses have provided information that led investigators to examine Laviolette’s activities. Several women have also reportedly come forward about their alleged interactions with him.
Laviolette was arrested on July 10 and initially charged with second-degree felony aggravated assault and third-degree felony unlawful restraint.
On July 16, two additional first-degree felony charges were filed against him: continuous sexual assault of a child and aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury with a deadly weapon.
A judge is reviewing whether Texas law allows Laviolette to be held w/o bond on the new charges. The goal is to protect the public and prevent further alleged violence.
