This photo came in last night at about 11:40 PM. HPD was conducting an investigation after a man was found on fire and hanging by a rope from the I-610 freeway.
At around 10:30 PM, Union Pacific employees reported a fire near the North Loop East underpass near Kirkpatrick.
Officers from Northeast Patrol found a man’s body partially on fire and hanging from the underpass. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The area is a known to be a homeless camp, but there are no witnesses.
The medical examiner’s office is working on determining the man’s cause of death, but HPD is investigating this incident as a homicide.
