Dickinson ISD confirmed that an employee assigned to the Galveston County Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program was arrested in connection with allegations involving a student.
According to the district, the employee had already been placed on administrative leave after officials learned of the allegations and before the district was notified of the arrest on the morning of Aug. 19, 2026.
The case has been referred to the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office. Dickinson ISD said it is cooperating with law enforcement and will continue taking appropriate measures while the investigation remains ongoing.
