Sugar Land Police are asking for help identifying a man accused of seriously injuring a woman with a baseball bat near Creekbend Dr and Fluor Daniel Dr.
Police said the assault happened around 10:25 AM on Friday, June 5, 2026. The woman was walking when an unknown man approached her and struck her with a baseball bat. She suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
The victim’s husband provided additional details, stating that his wife was working as a nanny and walking with a 17 month old child when the attack occurred. According to him, she pushed the stroller away from the attacker to protect the child and suffered several blows to her head, arms and hands while defending herself. He said her cellphone was shattered during the attack and one of her arms required approximately three hours of reconstructive surgery. The child was not physically injured.
Police described the suspect as a black man believed to be in his 30s or 40s. He was seen leaving the area in an older model SUV, but the vehicle’s color has not been confirmed.
The victim recently worked with a forensic sketch artist to create the composite sketch being released by police.
