Family Still Seeking Answers A Year After Fatal Hit & Run

Today marks a somber anniversary for the family of Paul Martinez, who held a vigil at the site where he was found deceased a year ago on Sweetwater Lane near W. Gulf Bank in Houston. Paul Martinez, aged 37 at the time of his death, was discovered on Sweetwater Lane close to Saddle Rock Drive in the Aldine area, leading to an investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. Initially treated as a pedestrian hit-and-run case, the details surrounding Martinez’s death remain unclear, leaving his family in search of answers and closure.

The family revealed that shortly before his untimely death, Martinez had visited a friend’s memorial in the vicinity. They believe he was on his way back to his father’s home to celebrate the New Year when the tragic incident occurred. Despite the efforts of the authorities, there have been no known witnesses to the event that led to Martinez’s death, and crucial information about the case is still missing.

In their quest for justice and understanding, the family urges anyone with information about the incident to contact the Houston Police Department’s Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477. The absence of clear answers continues to weigh heavily on the family, who seek closure in this tragic and unresolved case.
