At the Community Funeral Home on Wheeler Street, a funeral was taking place when HPD suddenly showed up with a search warrant. The funeral home is located at 2517 Wheeler Street. Heavy HPD presence arrived today as part of an ongoing investigation. Police say the owners are accused of stealing the identities of people who had passed away and running the funeral home without a proper license. Officers searched the building and did not find any bodies, but they did recover several cremation boxes.
