Hood News Peep Says TRX Came Back With 8,000 More Miles Than When It Was Left

A Hood News Peep is speaking out about an experience involving a man named Jose that began in October of last year after winning a TRX, a trailer, and an SXS.
According to the Hood News Peep, Jose was initially hired to detail the SXS after an auction company requested professional photos and detailing before listing it for sale. The work was completed without issue. Jose also wrapped the Hood News Peep’s mother’s BMW.
Later, the Hood News Peep asked Jose to detail the TRX. According to the Hood News Peep, Jose stated that he had buyers who could purchase the truck quickly, leading the Hood News Peep to leave the vehicle in his possession.
The Hood News Peep alleges that what was expected to be a quick sale turned into several months of delays and missed deadlines. After becoming concerned, the Hood News Peep requested to see the truck but says repeated delays followed before a meeting was finally arranged.
During that time, the Hood News Peep says Jose reported that the truck had sustained damage and needed repairs. Believing the issue would be resolved, the Hood News Peep allowed additional time for the repairs to be completed.
When the Hood News Peep eventually retrieved the truck, they discovered the mileage had increased by more than 8,000 miles from the documented mileage recorded when the vehicle was originally left in Jose’s possession. The Hood News Peep states that photographs taken at drop-off were later used to verify the mileage difference.
According to the Hood News Peep, Jose initially denied driving the truck beyond business-related purposes. After being shown the documented mileage, the Hood News Peep says compensation was offered during a conversation that was recorded.
After sharing part of that interaction publicly, the Hood News Peep says other individuals reached out claiming they had experienced similar issues. Those claims have not been independently verified.
The Hood News Peep says they are sharing their experience to document what occurred and to encourage others to conduct their own due diligence before entering into business arrangements.
