HOUSTON POLICE SEEK TWO PERSONS OF INTEREST IN FATAL SHOOTING
HPD is asking for the public’s help in locating two persons of interest in the fatal shooting of 39 year-old Sean Bree.
The individuals have been identified as 23 year-old Iddris Umaru and 22 year-old Axzey Mojica. Police say neither person has been charged at this time, but both are considered persons of interest in the investigation.
Officers responded to a shooting call around 1 PM on Saturday June 6 at a strip center located at 10055 Belknap Rd (near Bissonnet and Eldridge). Upon arrival, they found Bree suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Investigators have since identified Umaru and Mojica as persons of interest and released surveillance images believed to show the two fleeing the scene after the shooting.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Umaru or Mojica, or information related to this case, is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
