Lawn Worker Arrested After Dispute with Postal Worker in Spring

Spring, TX – March 12, 2025 – A lawn worker was arrested following an altercation with a postal worker in the 23600 block of Willow Haven Drive, according to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office.

Deputies responded to reports of a weapons disturbance and identified the suspect as Margarita Avila, a lawn worker in the area.

According to authorities, the dispute began when a postal worker delivering mail near a cluster mailbox asked Avila to step back, as debris from the weed eater was blowing in her direction. Video footage from the scene does not capture the entire altercation but provides some context regarding the events leading up to the incident.

Constable Mark Herman’s Office confirmed that Avila was taken into custody and charged with assault. Further details regarding her court appearance or possible bond were not immediately available.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Precinct 4 Constable’s Office.
