LOOK AT THE CONDITION ROMERO WAS IN WHEN HE WAS ARRESTED – INTOXICATION MANSLAUGHTER SUSPECT

A U.S. Postal Service driver, 58-year-old Steven Marks, was transported to the hospital after his mail truck was struck by a pickup on Antoine Drive near W. Greens. Sadly, he did not survive.
The pickup driver, Jose Humberto Romero (12/4/76), was intoxicated at the time of the crash and is now charged with Intoxication Manslaughter.
Records show Romero had a prior DWI arrest in 2023, which now enhances this charge to a first-degree felony under new Texas law.
Our thoughts go out to Steven Marks’ family, friends, and USPS coworkers.
