River Oaks Tragedy: 4 Family Members, Including 2 Children, Found Dead in Suspected Murder-Suicide

NEW DEVELOPMENTS: Houston police are investigating the deaths of four family members — including two children — in a suspected murder-suicide at a River Oaks home.
Officers responded to a welfare check Monday evening and found a 52-year-old man, a 39-year-old woman, an 8-year-old girl, and a 4-year-old boy, all with gunshot wounds.
Investigators believe the man shot the three victims before taking his own life.
Property records link the home to Matthew and Thy Mitchell, known for their Montrose restaurants. Thy Mitchell’s sister, Ly Mai, confirmed Tuesday that Thy and her two children had passed away Monday.
The Mitchells’ restaurants, Traveler’s Table and Traveler’s Cart, have been featured on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and Beat Bobby Flay.
No motive has been released.
