Suspect Charged in Fatal Stabbing on Maggie Street
48-year-old Gustarvo Vargas (aka Ivan Emmanuelli) has been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of 42-year-old Godfrey Whiting, who was found unresponsive after crashing his vehicle into a ditch at 3900 Maggie Street around 8:25 PM on Sunday, March 2.
Officers responded to a stabbing call and discovered Whiting with an apparent stab wound. He was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Further investigation led to Vargas being identified as the suspect, and he was taken into custody. The following booking photo has been released by HPD.
