Media Release – The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office successfully raided two illegal massage parlors suspected of being involved in human trafficking. The operation led by the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office in collaboration with the Organized Crime Task Force, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Galveston County District Attorneys and Unbound.
Detectives gathered intelligence through surveillance, interviews, and undercover operations which ultimately led to the identification of Royal Thai Massage located at 1825 E. Main Street, League City, Texas and Leela Thai Massage located at 17333 El Camino Real, Houston, Texas. The evidence revealed that the businesses were operating as fronts for prostitution-related activities. Following the investigation, the decision was made to execute search warrants at 3 locations including both massage parlors and a suspect’s apartment located at the Caroline Apartments, 1235 E. Nasa Pkwy, Houston, Texas.
As a result, GCSO detectives arrested 𝗬𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗤𝗶𝘂 𝗬𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻, 𝟱𝟳 for Aggravated Promotion of Prostitution. This case is active and pending additional charges on others involved in the operation.
We are committed to protecting those who are most vulnerable and bringing justice to those who engage in human trafficking. This operation highlights the importance of community awareness and law enforcement collaboration.
