Tristin Terrel Williams Charged in the Fatal Shooting of 21-Year-Old Julian Comeaux
38-year-old Tristin Terrel Williams has been charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Julian Comeaux and the wounding of another man in Midtown Houston 8 months ago.
The shooting happened around 1:05 AM on February 16 in the 300 block of Hadley Street, near Bagby. Julian and family and friends were out together when they were told someone was breaking into one of their vehicles. When they confronted the suspect, Williams allegedly opened fire, hitting Julian and another 24-year-old man.
Julian was pronounced deceased at the scene by HFD paramedics and the second victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
An investigation by the HPD Homicide Division, with assistance from the Houston Forensic Science Center and the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, led to the identification of Williams as the suspect. He has since been arrested and booked into custody.
Julian’s death left his family and friends heartbroken. He was preparing to leave for the Navy that same week and had never been in trouble. Loved ones describe him as a kind and ambitious young man whose life was tragically cut short.
