UPDATE: AUNDRE MATHEWS MUGSHOT RELEASED

Aundre Matthews, 18, is accused of fatally stabbing a fellow student inside a classroom at Sterling High School in Baytown. Prosecutors have since accepted a murder charge in the case.

The stabbing occurred at 300 W Baker Rd, where the victim, Andrew Meismer, was initially reported in critical condition and later died from his injuries. Authorities say the weapon involved was a pair of scissors.

Matthews was taken into custody at the scene.
