UPDATE: The mama duck has been returned to the clinic and is back at her nesting area. BUT, her 19 unhatched eggs remain missing.
For those just hearing about this, the duck had been nesting at a Pasadena clinic for several weeks. According to those monitoring the nest, Animal Control was contacted and they were advised that the duck and eggs should not be disturbed until the eggs hatched. Surveillance video later showed a woman removing the duck and all 19 eggs from the property late at night.
Everyone who has been caring for and keeping an eye on the mama duck remains concerned and is hoping the missing eggs are safe and that proper procedures were followed in handling the nesting wildlife.
