UPDATE: The mother of the Houston Methodist Nurse who was stabbed inside TMC Garage 1 shared additional details.
According to her mother, the victim was stabbed multiple times but fought back hard during the attack. She suffered injuries to her face, hands, chest, and foot. She was transported for treatment, received stitches, and is now working with investigators as the investigation continues.
Her mother said her daughter has no idea why she was targeted or what the suspect wanted. During the attack, the suspect reportedly took her backpack, but two men chased him down, causing him to drop it.
As previously reported, the stabbing happened around 6:47 a.m. inside TMC Garage 1 located at 6519 Fannin. TMCPD issued a BOLO for a suspect described as a Black male with a beard wearing a red/orange hoodie, black pants, and black tennis shoes.
