Following our initial post, a Hood News Peep reached out with additional information related to the incident under investigation at the Starbucks located on Kingwood Drive near Green Oak.
As previously reported, the incident occurred on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, and is being investigated by HPD under public lewdness. A male suspect sat near a 16-year-old girl for an extended period of time while she was studying inside the store. The teen later noticed the man was allegedly exposing himself, documented the behavior on video, notified store staff, and left the location. By the time a her mom arrived, the suspect had already left. HPD Officer responded and a police report was filed.
The family was advised that a warrant will be required to obtain Starbucks surveillance footage and any related in-store app information, a process officers stated may take time.
The Hood News Peep who reached out stated that a similar incident was reported in early October at a Planet Fitness location in New Caney. According to that account, law enforcement responded at the time but advised no enforcement action could be taken based on what was observed.
The Hood News Peep noted that the individual involved in the earlier incident appears similar to the person involved in the Starbucks case; however, no identification or confirmation has been made, and the cases have not been officially linked. Photos related to the earlier incident were shared privately.
