Remember the incident where a man was dragged from Sheraton Oaks Dr. to Antoine Dr where he died at scene?
HPD has now arrested 41 year-old Martha Alicia Oliva Padilla and charged her with murder and failure to stop and render aid causing death.
Padilla and the victim were arguing before the incident. Police say the victim was trying to remove the battery from their vehicle when Padilla got into the vehicle and drove off.
The victim was struck and dragged from Sheraton Oaks Dr. to the area of Antoine Dr. and Hollyview Dr., where he died from his injuries.
Witnesses provided a description of the black Honda SUV, which officers later found at a nearby apartment complex with damage and the engine still running. Evidence collected at the scene led investigators to Padilla, who was found at another nearby apartment complex and taken into custody.
The investigation is ongoing.
