HPD is investigating the fatal shooting of a woman found at 2831 Laura Koppe Road around 1:50 PM on March 30.
The 50-year-old woman’s identity has not been released yet as officials with the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences work to notify her family.
According to the Houston Police Department, firefighters responded to a call about a person down and found the woman unresponsive inside an apartment. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neighbors told police they heard gunshots around 9 PM the night before and saw a man, believed to be her boyfriend, leaving the apartment alone.
Police want to speak with a man described as a dark-skinned Black male, about 5’5”, stocky build, with short hair.
