A homicide investigation is underway after a 64-year-old man was found dead inside a home this morning in the 16700 block of Stoneside near Hwy 6 and Longenbaugh.
According to Major Dean with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office West Region Patrol Bureau, Deputies responded to the location at approximately 11:02 AM and entered the home, where they found the 64 year-old man suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
HCSO said a 30 year-old man who called 911 is believed to be involved in the incident. Investigators believe the two men were the only people inside the home at the time.
There is no known threat to the public.
Investigators are still working to determine what happened and what may have led up to the incident.
Major Dean said Deputies had responded to the location in the past, including calls dating back to May 2025. Those calls reportedly involved a domestic disturbance and a separate mental health-related warrant in which the 30-year-old man was taken for emergency detention.
