W. Sam Houston Parkway S. near Westheimer
A driver was killed after crashing into the back of a USPS 18-wheeler late last night. The Harris County Precinct 5 Constable’s Office is investigating the crash.
The crash happened shortly after 10 PM along West Sam Houston Parkway.
The vehicle hit the back of the USPS truck, causing the 18-wheeler to roll over. The driver of the passenger vehicle was ejected during the crash and died at the scene.
Other people inside the vehicle suffered minor injuries. The USPS truck driver was also reported to have suffered minor injuries.
Videos taken by Hood News Peeps of the scene showed the vehicle hanging over the edge of an overpass after the crash.
Authorities, suspect the driver may have been intoxicated, but the circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
