The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to report that Sylvester Thompson, who recently escaped while being transported to jail, is now in custody. Thompson was apprehended while handcuffed as a passenger in a vehicle on 33rd Street and Ave J in Santa Fe, TX.
We acknowledge the collaborative efforts of the Galveston County PCT 1, the League City Police Department K9 Unit, the Texas City Police Department, the Galveston County Organized Crime Task Force (OCTF), the Criminal Reduction Unit (CRU), and the Fugitive Apprehension Division in the successful location and capture of Thompson. Their prompt actions were instrumental in this operation.
