Yesterday around 10:30 AM, a Hood News Peep witnessed a serious hit-and-run crash on the ramp from 225 West to S 610 West involving a black Ram truck that fled the scene.
According to the witness, the truck struck a vehicle carrying a woman and then sped off without stopping. The Hood News Peep immediately pulled over, stayed with the injured woman, and provided support until emergency services arrived and transported her to the hospital.
The woman, who works as a nanny, has no family here except for the household she works with—who love her dearly. Thankfully, the Hood News Peep contacted them and kept them updated throughout the ordeal.
Dashcam footage of the incident was turned over to police, but the truck’s license plate isn’t clearly visible. Now, help from the community is needed to identify the black Ram responsible for this hit-and-run.
Big thanks to the Hood News Peep who stopped to help.
