After 5:00 PM, Westside Patrol officers were dispatched to the 10900 block of Meadowglen, near Westheimer and Wilcrest, following a report of three young children under the age of 3 — seen wandering alone in the apartment complex parking lot asking for food. (The Warwick of Westchase Apartments)
When officers arrived and spoke with the children, they were told that their parents were inside the apartment and deceased. Officers entered the unit and discovered an adult male and adult female dead inside. Investigators believe this was a murder-suicide, in which the male killed the female before taking his own life.
Homicide investigators and the Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene. At this time, investigators do not believe there is any danger to the public. Early indications suggest the incident happened at least 24 hours prior, meaning the children may have been left alone for that time. The medical examiner will confirm the timeline.
The deceased adults are believed to be the parents of the children.
