Rudolfo Pinon III, the boyfriend of Galilea Adan, has been arrested and charged in connection with her death after a deadly incident that happened around 1:45 AM on Sunday, June 14, in the 7500 block of Bellerive Dr.
Court records show Pinon III charged with Failure to Stop and Render Aid involving a collision resulting in death.
According to court documents, Pinon, Galilea, and two other people spent the evening together and went to a nightclub. During the night, everyone had been drinking, and witnesses said Rudolfo became heavily intoxicated. After they were asked to leave the club, an argument started and continued while they were driving away.
The group eventually stopped near Bellerive Dr. and got out of the vehicle. Witnesses told investigators that Galilea was standing near the front of the Dodge Durango when Rudolfo Pinon III got into the driver’s seat and accelerated. The vehicle struck and ran over Galilea Adan.
Witnesses said the vehicle then continued toward them before stopping briefly. They told investigators that Rudolfo Pinon III did not check on Galilea Adan, did not attempt to help her, and drove away from the scene.
One witness called 911 and tried to help Galilea until emergency responders arrived. Galilea was pronounced deceased at the scene.
