2 people were shot inside a Kroger store located on Cypresswood Dr, in the Cypress area of northwest Harris County.
Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office and other agencies including DPS and HCSO are on the scene.
Shots were fired inside the store. 2 victims have been reported, though the exact number of victims and their conditions have not been released.
Witnesses reported seeing a male wearing a yellow shirt and black pants firing a weapon inside the store. A suspect has been detained and is currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital.
Officials say there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
Investigators are still at the scene gathering evidence as they work to determine what happened. A heavy law enforcement presence is expected to continue.
Avoid the area and use alternate routes due to ongoing emergency activity and road congestion.
