Howard Lee Sharp III, also known as “Bubba” or “Little Bubba,” was just 25 years old when he was last heard from by his family on March 1, 1991. Today, Howard would be 61 years old, and his family is still searching for answers about what happened to him.
According to Howard’s sister, the last thing she remembers is her brother saying he was going to meet up with some friends. She wanted to go with him, but their parents caught her and made her return home.
That would be the last time she saw her brother.
More than three decades have passed, and Howard’s disappearance remains a mystery.
His sister shared that for years, she tried to hold on to the possibility that Howard had simply walked away because of difficulties within their family. However, as the years have gone by without any contact, she has begun to fear that her brother may no longer be alive.
Her heartbreaking wish now is to find out what happened to Howard and, if he is deceased, recover his remains so the family can finally give him a proper burial.
Howard was last known to be wearing a green muscle T-shirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes. He also reportedly had a blue London Fog-style coat, a maroon wallet and a cloth bracelet.
Howard disappeared from Dickinson in Galveston County, and his case was entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) in June 2026.
For his sister, this is not just a decades-old missing persons case. This is her brother, someone she remembers leaving home to meet friends and never returning.
She has spent more than 35 years wondering where he went, what happened that day and whether someone out there knows something that could finally bring her family answers.
