CAUGHT IN THE ACT!
A Hood News Peep caught someone illegally dumping in Northeast Houston on Camay Drive near Tidwell and Homestead.
Our Peep followed the truck at a safe distance and was able to record as the driver dumped trash right there in the neighborhood. Another Peep also sent in daytime video showing what the area looks like — this little spot in the 77016 ZIP code deals with constant illegal dumping, and it’s only getting worse.
There’s also active dumping happening on Wescott Rd, just a short distance from there. The dumping isn’t even off to the side of the street anymore — it’s right in the middle of the roadway, blocking traffic and forcing drivers to use only one lane. That’s how bold these dumpers have gotten. And yes, it’s been reported to Police.
