Travion Joyce, 31, and Dasmin Young, 36, have been charged following an August 16 shooting on Cullen Boulevard that left 26-year-old David Hurd dead and four other men injured.
According to HPD, officers responded to a club around 3:30 AM and heard gunfire as a large crowd was leaving the parking lot. Officers found Hurd suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Witnesses told investigators they saw a man shooting into the crowd before leaving in a white SUV.
Joyce and Young were arrested by HPD SWAT officers on August 26. Police said Young was also among those injured during the incident. Both men are charged with being a felon in possession of a weapon.
The investigation remains ongoing. The charges are allegations, and both men are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
