ALIEF AREA — BELLAIRE AND BOONE
HPD is investigating an incident reported Monday afternoon, August 24, near Bellaire Blvd and Boone Rd in the Alief area.
According to a Hood News Peep who reported the incident, at approximately 4:30 PM, a person inside a black Ford truck drove by the parent’s son and offered him “candy.” This happened twice! The first time the child was alone. In the other incident he was with a friend.
The Peep said the interaction raised immediate concerns about her child’s safety and is asking Hood News Peeps in Alief and surrounding areas to be on the lookout for a black Ford truck that may be connected to this encounter.
HPD has been contacted, a police report has been filed, and the incident is under investigation
