Arentheis Winn, 20, the person sought for questioning in connection with the deadly shooting of Markquez Mack, has been arrested and booked into the Galveston County Jail.
Jail records show Winn was taken into custody on July 29, 2026, on an out-of-county warrant from Harris County. He is also charged with failure to identify as a fugitive with intent to provide false information. Bond was denied on the Harris County warrant.
Winn is expected to be transferred to Harris County.
Markquez Mack was killed and his sister was wounded during a shooting outside an establishment at 11107 South Post Oak Road around 4:45 AM on November 28, 2025.
HPD said the victims were leaving the establishment when they were approached by at least two men. Following a brief verbal altercation, Markquez was shot. The gunmen continued firing as they fled, striking his sister. She survived her injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing.
