PUPPY DUMPED NEAR HEMPSTEAD RD!
A Hood News Peep is speaking out after surveillance video captured a man dumping a puppy near Hempstead Road and 34th Street in Houston Wednesday morning.
The incident happened around 11:17 a.m. Video shows a vehicle pull up before a man gets out and leaves the puppy near a trash can. He also leaves behind the crate used to transport the puppy before getting back into the vehicle and driving away.
What happened next is heartbreaking.
The puppy began following the vehicle as it drove away, eventually running toward the busy street.
After seeing what happened, the Hood News Peep and a neighbor went outside to search for the puppy but were unable to find it. They are still keeping an eye out and hoping the puppy is found safe.
Unfortunately, the surveillance cameras did not capture a readable license plate.
It is absolutely infuriating to watch an animal be abandoned like this. That puppy had no idea why it was being left behind. Instead, it tried to follow the vehicle as it drove away, putting the puppy in even more danger.
