Constables Arrest Three Adults for Child Endangerment at Washateria

On November 11, 2024, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to Hi Tek Washateria on Kuykendahl Road, where they found a visibly shaken six-year-old locked inside a dryer. The child was allegedly placed there as punishment by Haven Duncan after losing a bag of chips, while two other adults, Life Ford and Jaqory Gill, refused to let him out. Duncan was also found with a loaded firearm. Ford interfered with deputies by blocking the pursuit of Gill, who initially fled on foot. All three suspects were detained, charged, and booked into Harris County Jail with bonds set. The child was released to a guardian, and Child Protective Services was notified.
